Connecticut DPH Issues New Guidance on Lead in Synthetic Turf

  • In February, the Connecticut Department of Public Health issued EHS Circular Letter #2010-11 advising about the a new Lead in Artificial Turf Fact Sheet and Protocol for Bulk Sampling and Wipe Testing of Artificial Turf. You should familiarize yourself with this new guidance and sampling protocols. The STC has written to the CT DPH questioning the rational for a surface wipe testing standard that is 4 times lower than the standard of safety of the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
