Committed to Community Wellness
Committed to community wellness and environmental responsibility through the use of synthetic turf, STC members enthusiastically come together to build a field that increases opportunities for children to be active and play outside. The STC’s Community Service Projects to benefit Stuart-Hobson Middle School (2011) in D.C. and SafeHaven of Tarrant County (2012) in Dallas, TX have been huge successes – lots of media coverage about synthetic turf, the industry, and the STC; recognition by the Secretary of Education and the First Lady’s Let’s Move office – and treasured memories for those who participated and witnessed the dedication ceremonies.
Most recently, the STC Board identified City of Refuge as an equally worthy candidate for a similar project in downtown Atlanta, the host city for the 2015 Annual Membership Meeting on October 5 - 7, 2015. This project generated strong media and public relations attention and provided even greater awareness for the City of Refuge and its programs for the homeless women and children it serves.
