Affiliate Membership Information
Affiliate Membership is a non-voting, individual membership created exclusively for Buyers and End-users, e.g., coaches, athletic directors, municipal officials, and Academics, e.g., researchers, professors, students. The individual is the member, not the organization. Affiliate Members are eligible to participate in STC membership meetings, and serve on Standing Committees or Task Forces. They are not eligible to serve on the Board of Directors, apply for STC Certification, or appear in the STC Online Buyers’ Guide.

Buyers & End-users
Researchers & Academics
Full Membership Information
Full members are companies in the synthetic turf industry. They have full voting rights, and their employees are eligible to participate in STC membership meetings, serve on Board of Directors, standing Committees or Task Forces, and apply for STC Certification.

Companies whose primary responsibility is building and/or installing sub base systems. Companies that also install sports fields are not eligible for this membership category.
Builders, Installers & Contractors
Companies whose primary responsibility is installing synthetic systems either directly or indirectly through a subcontractor or distributor. Builders often have turn-key responsibility for the synthetic turf installation and provide the overall warranty for the installation. It is recognized that some companies in this category may be manufacturers. Examples include:
Independent Professionals & Consultants
Firms with legally registered or licensed design professionals who are officially designated as such as well as those with non-licensed practitioners or consultants that represent or advise the owner/end-user with surface and systems selection information, technical specifications, system designs, bid and construction documents, etc. Examples include:
Material/Component Manufacturers & Suppliers
Companies whose primary business is to provide materials or manufacturing services to the synthetic turf industry. These organizations do not provide turn-key installation of the synthetic turf systems nor provide the overall warranty for an installation. Examples include:
Regional Landscape & Recreation Installers
Regional companies whose primary responsibility is installing landscape, golf and/or recreation synthetic grass (no sports fields). Non-regional lawn and leisure installation companies are not eligible for this membership category.
Specialty Manufacturers & Services
Maintenance organizations, equipment manufacturers, professional service organizations, and other companies, typically independent, which sell their products and services primarily to the buyer or end-user. Examples include:
Testing Labs, Services & Equipment
Independent companies that are capable of testing synthetic turf and its components, such as:
