What is the Certified Synthetic Turf Installer (CSTI) credential?

 

The Certified Synthetic Turf Installer (CSTI) credential is the marker of a committed synthetic turf professional who has demonstrated the wide range of knowledge essential to installing a synthetic turf landscape and/or recreation system.

 

The CSTI PROGRAM is:

Online

The CSTI program is an online based learning and testing opportunity so candidates’ can get their certification on their schedule.

Promotion

The CSTI program is a promotion of suggested guidelines, an accumulation of industry best practices endorsed by STC members.

Demonstration

The CSTI program is a knowledge assessment, or a measurable demonstration of a candidate’s grasp of industry best practices covering a wide scope of knowledge and experience.

Listings

Receive national and local promotion through the online Certified Synthetic Turf Installer (CSTI) roster.

Marketing

The CSTI program is marketing and promotion with a tool kit to differentiate industry professionals from unskilled, untrained, and uncertified installers.

 

The CSTI PROGRAM is not:

The CSTI program is not basic training for installers new to the industry, nor is it a class or a course presented with a test administered at the conclusion. The CSTI program is not a certificate of completion, a specialty designation, nor accreditation.

How to become a Certified Synthetic Turf Installer (CSTI)

These are the steps to your CSTI journey:

Step 01

Determine your eligibility, including minimum installation experience.

Step 02

Submit your CSTI application and registration fee at the STC member or non-member rate.

Step 03

Pass the online exam during the two week testing window and on a day that fits well with your schedule.

Step 04

Get recognized and promote your CSTI designation using your new badge and the marketing toolbox.

Step 05

Keep your CSTI current by renewing your status every two years.

Step 06

Actively participate in STC advocacy programs to help shape industry policies and regulations that impact your business.
