STC Forum Guidelines

The Forums feature of the Members Only Community is a private social networking platform where members can interact with other industry leaders, comment on hot topics, ask questions and more importantly – get to know one another.

Using this feature to gain an advantage or put another member at a disadvantage (i.e. promoting your goods or services inappropriately) is strictly prohibited. Please read and understand these guidelines in their entirety before subscribing or posting to a forum:

STC accepts no responsibility for the opinions and information posted on this site by others. In no event shall STC be liable for any special, indirect or consequential damages or any damages whatsoever resulting from loss of use, data or profits, arising out of or in connection with the use or performance of any information posted on this site.
STC reserves the right to terminate access to any user who does not abide by these guidelines. In addition to the above, all users of the forums voluntarily submit themselves to the following guidelines and etiquette:

  1. When replying to a post or topic, include only the relevant information to which you are responding. This will make others who read your message understand the context of the conversation. Economize space by including only the relevant portion of the original message.
  2. Challenging or attacking others is bad etiquette. The discussions put forward in the forums are meant to stimulate conversation but are not meant to create a contentious environment.
  3. Do not post commercial messages. The Cyberspace term for this is "spamming."
  4. All defamatory, abusive, profane, threatening, offensive or illegal materials are strictly prohibited. Do not say anything that you would not want the world to see and would not want to know came from you.
  5. When posting materials, the poster voluntarily presents him/herself as the copyright owner or has received permission to reprint copyrighted materials.
  6. As always, please familiarize yourself with STC's Anti-Trust Policy and Checklist. Members are encouraged to seek the guidance of counsel or professional staff of the STC whenever questions arise.
