Join an STC Committee or Task Force

Volunteers are critical to the success of the Synthetic Turf Council, and STC "Groups" allow members to find the areas of interest that best suit them. They are organized into three main categories: Standing Committees, Task Forces and Board of Directors.

Standing Committees are active throughout the membership year, while Task Forces are project-specific and dissolve when the project is completed. Both usually meet monthly by conference call and meet face-to-face at STC membership meetings. All groups are private and require approval by group and staff administrators.   • Board of Directors »

  • Board Directors are elected for a two-year term and may not serve more than two consecutive terms. Directors are required to participate in two on-site board meetings each year - at the Spring Membership Meeting and the Annual Membership Meeting in the fall. During the year, the Board meets by conference call once every month for about 1.5 hours.
  • Committees »

  • STC Committees are utilized by staff members and the Board of Directors to ensure that functional expertise is used in developing programs and services. The members of all Standing Committees serve for a one-year term, which ends with the conclusion of the Annual Membership Meeting.
  • Task Forces »

  • STC Task Forces often take the form of issue-specific work groups, tasked with completing a specific assignment within a short time frame. Task Force members serve until the project is completed and the Task Force is dissolved.
