Synthetic Turf Council Elects New Board of Directors

ATLANTA, GA -- During the Synthetic Turf Council's (STC) ( Annual Membership Meeting in Tucson, Arizona on October 10-12, 2016 the association elected its new Board of Directors. Amy Brackin will serve a second one-year term as Chairman of the STC, the largest organization dedicated to representing the synthetic turf industry.
Board Officers include Vice Chairman Brad Borgman, National Sales Manager, USGreentech LLC; Secretary Mike Cobb, Chief Executive Officer, InnovaNet Group; Treasurer Catherine Eiswerth, Manager, Sports & Recreation Division, R.F. Binnie & Associates; Director-at-Large Stefan Diderich, Manager External Affairs, Mattex; and Immediate Past Chairman Robert Thomas, President, ProGrass LLC. Kevin Barker, Controlled Products, LLC; Phil Barlow, Shaw Sports Turf; Donna Kent, ForeverLawn Inc.; Luke McCoy, Kaestle Boos Associates, Inc.; David Nardone, Stantec Sport; Ryan Paris, AstroTurf, LLC; Laith Ross, RossTarrant Architects, complete the newly elected Board.
"Our Board plays an extremely active role in shaping the strategic direction of the Council as the trusted voice of the industry," explains Amy Brackin, Chairman. "I will commit to all members that you have voted in a very strong Board that is a good representation of the entire synthetic turf industry and has a strong focus on your needs as its stakeholders."

Chairman Brackin's contributions and commitment to the STC are well-known, and I'm confident the STC will continue to grow and serve the industry under her leadership."
The 2016 STC Annual Membership Meeting attracted 192 attendees, including 155 members from 82 companies, and 37 non-member guests from 31 companies, with representatives from seven different countries (US, Canada, U.K., France, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands) and featured a strong educational component. Concurrent breakout sessions focused on topics such as Characterization & Assessment of Recycled Rubber; Landscape Synthetic Grass Systems and Specialty Applications; Ask a Lawyer Everything You Ever Wanted to Know about the Law; Synthetic Turf Specifications; Playgrounds: What are they and what do we need to know about them?; Marketing for Your Business Through Social Media Trends & Best Practices; Synthetic Turf Backings & Urethanes; Painting Synthetic Turf; Standards for Playgrounds, Playing Fields & Other Recreational Facilities.  Mack Story of Top Story Leadership delivered an engaging keynote address entitled "Blue Collar Leadership".
