2019 Rookie of the Year Award:

Matt Adkins, ForeverLawn West Texas

Since joining the STC in September 2018, Matt quickly took the initiative to maximize his membership by sharing his expertise through the STC’s educational program. Just one month after becoming a member, Matt presented a speech at the STC annual meeting in Cleveland, Ohio, with his presentation on planning for longevity with synthetic grass playgrounds. This presentation was highly regarded, and the STC is working with Matt to convert his presentation into a webinar that can be presented to more STC members in the future.

Matt Adkins embodies the STC vision of “improving the world through synthetic turf.” The owner of ForeverLawn West Texas, Matt brings his expertise as a business owner, a skilled synthetic turf installer, and a successful networker to his position as an STC member. He is passionate about the multitude of benefits that our products provide on a global basis, which he shares via an active social media presence, through leadership roles in his company and his community, and most recently through his speaking opportunities at the STC.

Matt is a volunteer leader with an encouraging spirit and a motivating attitude. He is known as a strong advocate for the industry, and he motivates those around him to strive for excellence and to lead a life of integrity at home, at work, and within his growing circle of influence. He believes in continuing education and in investing in himself and in his team. Those around him can never be content to accept the status quo. He is constantly challenging them to strive for more. He elevates those around him, including fellow STC members.

Matt has enthusiastically shared the knowledge and networking success that he has gained during his short time as an STC member with his ForeverLawn West Texas team and others.
