At Act Global, we are committed to preserving and protecting our planet. We continually invest in maintaining environmentally sound products and business practices, and we work with leading research and chemical firms to develop eco-friendly products such as infills, recyclable coatings, and other green innovations.

Plastic waste pollution is a major threat to our oceans and coasts. Experts from National Geographic project roughly 55% of plastic exists in landfills or natural areas, reaping havoc on ecosystems and harming animal life. Any new plastic created today is plastic pollution tomorrow. A typical turf field uses a large amount of virgin plastics and re-ground rubber.

Act Global and worldwide sports good manufacturer, Adidas, have made a commitment to reduce the use of virgin plastics and find innovative ways to recycle plastics found in our oceans and shorelines.

Working with supply partners, Act Global engineered an innovative way to take salvaged ocean plastic and synthesize it into a TPE infill. A full-size multipurpose field was co-donated by Act Global and Adidas to Miami Edison High School (Miami, FL) in January of 2020. As the first district field in the area, it will have a lasting impact on the community. Students set foot on the field for a 7 on 7 match during Super Bowl LIV Weekend, showing off their new surface made from recycled ocean plastic.
