2022 ROOKIE OF THE YEAR award

Peter Farinas joined STC in 2021 and made an immediate impact. His willingness to collaborate with colleagues has made him a deserving "Rookie of the Year."

He openly shared his experience and expertise as a member of the Sustainability Sub-Task Force. 

The STC is grateful for Peter Farinas' contributions to fellow members and to the synthetic turf industry at large. 

Sam burris - fairfax county park authority

Sam Burris encompasses all attributes for “Rookie of the Year’ as a new member who quickly found himself willing to share his expertise with industry peers and colleagues. 

When asked to participate in the new Sports Field Guidelines Task Force, Sam Burris enthusiastically joined and took on the secretary role and participated on a consumer panel for community fields. 

The STC is grateful for Sam’s service to the industry as a new volunteer and true advocate for synthetic turf.
