Membership in the Synthetic Turf Council is a voluntary commitment to focus on issues that promote the integrity of the industry as a whole and the reputation of companies individually.  Membership is accompanied by the responsibility of honoring the confidentiality of activities conducted within the Council.  The security of information to achieve confidentiality is essential.

All matters discussed or exchanged at meetings of the Synthetic Turf Council by members of the Synthetic Turf Council are confidential and considered works in progress.  Research and information pursued or received by an STC group in pursuit of their objective are also considered work in progress.  Discussions, draft documents, proposed recommendations, strategies, and related communications are to remain within committees, the STC Board of Directors, and meetings of the membership and are not for distribution nor are they to be used for promotion or marketing purposes until final and official action has been determined.

Research materials, draft documents, and other forms of written communication received from STC members or outside sources shall be considered confidential only when so indicated.

STC members, when approached on matters of confidentiality and policy, are urged to refer such questions to the STC President, who serves as spokesperson for the Council.
