Purpose

The STC Rookie of the Year Award recognizes a new STC individual member who has actively participated on an STC committee or task force, hit the ground running, and made an immediate impact.

Submission Deadline: August 31, 2026

Nominations

Any member of the STC in good standing may nominate a person for the Rookie of the Year Award.  STC leadership are encouraged to nominating candidates. The nominating member is responsible for completing and submitting all required nomination materials.

Individual Awards are judged and voted by the STC Board of Directors. 

Eligibility Criteria

• Any individual member of the STC in good standing and in their first 18 months of STC involvement is eligible.
• Member can be shown to be having a positive impact on an STC committee or other volunteer position.
• Board Directors are prohibited from receiving an award while they are serving.

Judging Criteria

• Explanation of volunteer positions held at the STC
• Nominee’s tangible accomplishments
