Purpose

The STC Volunteer of the Year award recognizes an STC individual member who has exhibited effort above and beyond the call of duty in helping the STC and promoting our mission.

Submission Deadline: August 31, 2026

 

Nominations

Any STC member in good standing may nominate a person for the Volunteer of the Year Award. 

Individual Awards are judged and voted by the STC Board of Directors.  

 

Eligibility Criteria

  • Any individual member of the STC in good standing with at least two (2) consecutive years of membership is eligible.
  • Member must have served the STC as a member of a committee, task force, or other volunteer position.
  • Board Directors are prohibited from receiving an award while they are serving.

 

Judging Criteria

  • An explanation of the nominee’s volunteer activities
  • A description of how the nominee’s activities have supported the STC’s mission 
  • An explanation of what makes this nominee’s contributions exceptional 

 

Required Documents

  • Online application
  • Letters of recommendation or statements from other STC members strongly encouraged
